Since the "new" Jupiter 3 ltm is supposed to be manufactured on the same worn-out machines as the old models decades before, I am not at all surprised that two lenses I tested on a Photokina came across as extremely wobbly and imprecise - no useful tool for a Leica.

Interesting, thanks for that.

If you happen to find the adapter for Zeiss Ikon Contax lenses to Leica M or LTM, you can perfectly use the original Sonnar as well as the old Russian Jupiter Copies for the Kiev. Unfortunately Amedeo Muscelli is not offering them anymore - at the moment - and I hope he will do so again in the near future. His products are machined in low numbers but with excellent quality.

The description in the link says it is not coupled to the rangefinder and is meant to be used together with the Techart adapter for the Sony. A coupled adapter like the one from Amedeo can only work for either the Nikon-S or the Contax lenses on the M, not for both at the same time. Therefore Amedeo made different adapters for both types of lenses.
