A lot of people who live in Florida seem to hate these neat birds. I suppose that's because they're so abundant there and always looking for handouts. I really enjoy seeing them.

Inspired by your first image, here's a Brown for comparison.   As big as it is I believe this one is a juvenile because it's laking the chestnut color down the back of the neck.  This taken with the Digilux 3 on San Cristobal, Galapagos.
