johnwolf Posted January 3, 2016 Share #5 Posted January 3, 2016 I like it very much, too, Jaap. Great light, tones, and a fascinating subject. Can you explain what's going on? It looks like an animal in the elevated structure. I will say, though, that I feel my eyes being drawn away from the main subject to the dark area of the open sky. I think a more even tonality would be worth a try. John
jaapv Posted January 4, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted January 4, 2016 Thank you; the sky was indeed subject of some work, dark blue on one side, nearly white on the left, harsh light. Darkening was the best way to get it more even. Maybe I can crop it slightly, however that would bring the horizon in the middle which I dislike. The structure is a goat pen; we sponsored a goat project in the village.
johnwolf Posted January 4, 2016 Share #7 Posted January 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) The right and left edges seem just right to me, so cropping might undermine your excellent composition. Maybe get some other opinions before you have at it. It's entirely possible it's just me.
