What in the world are you trying to show?

Basically I just sold my well kept Monochrom, but the buyer wants to return by indicating this is a huge problem he could not cope with. So he took the video and trying to show me the problem. And opened a dispute on Paypal. I know paypal is buyer-sided most of the time.  I feel really bad. :(  And of course I will accept the return if this is indeed a factory defect.

Please just tell us what the problem is!

If it is a supposed LCD problem and the buyer is comparing the Monochrom with say an ordinary M9 remember the Monochrom has a different screen, so will probably reflect light in a different way.

The buyer probably got buyer's remorse and is looking for a reason to back out of the sale. Either that or he/she is one of those nightmare buyers that is pernickety to the point of being essentially mentally ill. The fact that the buyer has already opened a dispute tells you all you need to know. I think your best outcome is to get the camera back in the same condition you sent it and start the process again. The risk of encountering this kind of buyer is one of the reasons I prefer to sell Leica gear using the forum classifieds (via PM correspondence you soon get a feel for whether the buyer is someone you will want to do business with, nor are you obliged to accept Paypal).

Thank you and it is exactly what I feel right now. It is a very hard lesson for me. Especially the Monochrom is such a unique tool that many of the consumers must know the learning curve of mastering B&W photography before really owning one. Hence the rate of changing mind after purchasing is relatively high. By realizing this fact, I learned that only buy a Monochrom when we are knowing exactly what we shoot. And only sell to those who really know who to appreciate the uniqeness of a Leica Monochrom.

On the camera on the left, on the right side of the screen, there is light emanating from something when viewed at that angle.  Reflection?

That is a reflection from the tiny diamond logo to show it is crystal glass!

I hate Ebay for exactly this reason-buyer biased and they can leave any negative comments even if not true. Yes, you can dispute the comments, but in my experience they will not remove them and only give you a rebuttal response. Total non-sense and the person on the phone at Ebay has total decision making for each case.
