How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

I wish people would stop posting SL pictures... :D

 

I want/need a Summilux 35 FLE for my M and every time I look at this section I start thinking... well, perhaps...

 

Its getting harder and harder to resist the temptation...

 

Thighslapper, you are becoming the worst culprit. The colours you are getting are blowing me away. Are these PP'd a lot...?

 

(Clue: I'm hoping you are going to say 'yes'!!!!)

I'm not Thighslapper (I enjoy his photos also), but I don't end up adjusting the colors much. If there is something gray in the scene, I color balance to that (Iridient Developer makes that very easy to do); with that done, the color is quite pleasing to me. Other than that, I mostly just bring up the shadows if necessary and bring down the highlights to where they have texture. I almost always use default sharpening (I dislike sharpening artifacts).

..... sorry to disappoint you Bill ..... I hardly ever have to adjust colour/colour balance ...... just some sharpening and adjusting highlights/shadows, occasionally a tweak of vibrance in rather flat low colour images. 

 

the only thing I spend any time on is levelling ...... I have a chronic tendency to 'right hand droop' .... and messing around with cropping, otherwise much less tinkering than M240/M9 images.
