SL's single-point AF is the best I've ever used in getting the focus point exactly where I want it . . .

Zeiss ZM 35 F1.4 is a solid performer as always. and very well balanced on the SL2. All at F1.4 or F2.0.

This is just one person's opinion, but IMHO SL primes are the reason to get the SL2. Superb AF that is spot on every time and nice colors at least to my eyes. These are with SL 90.

Much as I liked the vario 24-90, I sold it after getting the SL primes. This is not to say the 24-90 is bad - it is of course excellent, but I don't buy the "prime like performance" claim, esp compared to SL primes. Compared to other brands, yes. In any case, it is not a either / or, but for me it was more of a financial "discipline" :)
