I was privileged last night to photograph the final recital of an early music summer school.
I used the SL and 24-90 and 90-280 zooms, mostly at ISO 1600-3200, manual exposure, and either face recognition or spot AF. I am always gobsmacked by the capability of the system, and especially the quality one can get from the 90-280, especially when the OIS lets you shoot handheld slower than 1/100 sec at 280mm.

French lute songs. The singer, who was French herself, had a wonderfully strong contralto voice with a distinct woodwind-like timbre. It made one shiver.
