All norway pictures are great. For my taste i only would reduce the dehaze and clarity values so it looks more naturally. I feel it is a bit overdone in some pictures of this series.
The result is than a HDRish and bit unnatural look.
But some people like it. Just a matter of taste…

You are quite right. I have the problem to loss the judge after I am in the PS for a while. It's kind of staying in a strong smell room for too long.
I do share your critique after a day or two.

I know this too. When i do postwork on some pictures it is good to put them away unfinished and sleep one night.
The next day i see with different eyes at the pictures.

That's a good practice. I am trying to stop working on it after an hour or so, and I try to ask my wife or my son to give a critique.

The problem is I tend to disagree with them at that moment. It almost always takes a couple of days to come back to realize the problem.

I wonder how professionals do?

If time allows i do the same (i work as a freelence retoucher) and put away a picture for 2 or 3 hours and work on another instead.
But most jobs have to be finished very fast 😉

I have started a thread under digital post processing on this topic “how to avoid overdo”. As this place is supposed to limit to posting photos,
