More rehearsals of a musical The Ancient Mariner.
SL + 16-35, ISO 1600.
I notice that the moment I drop to ISO 1600 and below, colour is far easier to manage. At 3200 and above, one is better off converting to B&W.

Your pictures make a very persuasive case for carrying that heavy camera and lenses around!  Maybe I should try again, since no one seems to want to buy my SL ...

What polarizer are you using with the 16-35? Any vignetting at 16mm with the polarizer. I'm thinking of ordering the Leica Polarizer, but at that price want to make sure there is no vignetting, Not sure it is designed to be used with UWA's.

I have tried polarizer and filter holder from LEE/ Formatt Hitech and H&Y.

I saw the lowest vignetting with H&Y Polarizer. -> Nevertheless - i like the Formatt Hitech Filter as they have the best optical effects to me.
The best filter holder (fastest use, but also smarter by the weight and volume) is the magnetic H&Y.

But coming back to the main question- to my point of view all (directly screwed) polariziers are showing some vignetting at 16mm with this lens. I did not try bigger solutions, but i have sent the 16-35 to Wetzlar thinking that my lens was the problem- i got a cleaned and tuned lens back but the problem still remains- it’s an optical problem (to be expected).

Thank you !
It´s still a very good camera and especially the glasses are great (but i think you do know that...) and the sensor with its 24 MP  is sufficient to do most of my requirements.
