Early morning in the harbor I - with the new SVE 16-35...

Leica priced the SVE 16-35 second most expensive SL lens right after the 90-280VE. It might sound rediculously expensive for a F4 lens. But I have no regrets getting the SVE 16-35. It's sharpness, contrast & rendering created such lifelike image that even the M lenses are hard to match.

If only someone with the X1D can do an exact image to image comparison. I am confident the difference might be negligible.

Thank you!  I posted some of these portraits when I returned from Syria last June; however, they were highly processed for note cards. Now I'm going back and re-doing them with almost no processing, just a little sharpening, for a gallery show. The colors from the SL still amaze me.

Hi Tina, I am a little late to this discussion.  Just want to say as Vikas and others noted in March, lovely photos.  So human, some of them bring tears to my eyes.  Your colours a tiny bit softer than many SL pictures.   There is less obvious 'pop' and that draws the viewer into the human story.  At least, this viewer.  Thanks again, Robert

Have you seen Tina's site at https://tinamanley.photoshelter.com/index ?  Outstanding.
