In a Thai restaurant in Tel Aviv:

I'm using the 21-35 Vario-Elmar Asph R.  The first is probably 21 mm, the second 35 mm, but I won't be certain of these things until the new R-L adapter comes out.

Leica SL, Apo-Vario-Elmar 90-280. Half Dome from Glacier Point. Rather pedestrian, but my first day of landscape work with the SL. Files aren't quite as nice for monochrom as the Typ246, but serviceable.

The city where I live has a small zoo.  I had fun with the SL but learned it is very difficult to get good shots through glass and screens even with a terrific camera/lens combo.  This however was outdoors and an amazing animal.

Meerkats are among my favorite zoo personalities.  I posted a companion photo in the "Wildlife" section of the forum.

Thanks,

Mark

Hmmm - some reddish (mis)colouring; I didn't recall this to be an issue on the M240, but it is present on the SL. Can be fixed, but it will slightly deteriorate the quality of the influenced pixels.

Nice images!

I'm not convinced this is entirely a lens issue ..... it is present to a lesser extent at 24mm on other shots with the 24-90. I think it is the effect of natural light which enters this building on either side of this floor and makes white balancing the whole photo very problematic .... particularly as so much of it is white and there is a lot of very reflective surfaces .....

anyway ....... better in a few seconds with a selective colour radial filter ....... although still not perfect ....

Thanks - I did some tests with the SL+WATE@16mm, and I get some reddish (mis)colouring - somewhat similar to your image. But you are correct, colourcasts can be real, caused by reflected light, for instance.

I have not tested the SL+WATE combo in snowy landscape(s), but will do...

The SL sensor does seem to catch reds and oranges in the surroundings quite clearly, I noticed this in some images and I had to look at reality to confirm it really was there. And it was.
