BBestone Posted November 16, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 16, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, What would cause a blue cast in my 109? I have no filters selected and I've tried changing the white balance, but it always shows that blue cast, with inside and outside photographs1 Any ideas? pop Posted November 16, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 16, 2015 A picture or two (indoors and outdoors, perhaps) might be helpful for finding an answer.
lct Posted November 17, 2015 Share #3 Posted November 17, 2015 1. Did you get the blue cast on jpeg, raw or both? 2. Did you try to choose another custom setting if any? 3. Did you try to reset to the default settings?
Toshack10 Posted December 1, 2015 Share #4 Posted December 1, 2015 I wonder if I have seent he same issue - whatever it is... These were shot in JPG, in the same minute on the same stretch of path. Aperture Priority. The only difference I can see in the file information is that one the blue-hue, the light source shows as "Tungsten" whereas the other one shows as "Unknown" - yet my set up of the camera didn't change in that minute... I also note that I had a similar issue at Goodwood Revival with the camera being on/off all day but most of my shots were blue and on looking at the file data, the light source was "tungsten", but the normal shots, the light source was showing as "unknown". What is causing it to swap over is a mystery to me ! If you asked me how to manually change the light source, I'd struggle! Welcome, dear visitor! jcraf Posted December 3, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 3, 2015 I've found it's relatively easy to inadvertently knock/push to thumbwheel selector on its right side, which will change the white balance. I use a wrist strap on mine, which seems to make the problem worse! Not saying that's what's caused the issues above; just my experience.
D. Martin Posted November 2, 2022 Share #6 Posted November 2, 2022 This has happened to me also. As a last resort, I removed and reinstalled the battery. That fixed the problem, but I have no idea why.
jaapv Posted November 2, 2022 Share #7 Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) That probably reverted the camera to th default settings. This thread is six years old… Edited November 2, 2022 by jaapv
