Lovely chocolate browns, Dee.  Good looking soil; shallow though I suppose.

Must rush...Trish retires today and we are booked to fly to Melb to see our first Grandson born yesterday...it's all happening at once...but always time for your pics.

Very nice Digby. Beaut tones and structures. I like rocks.... ;-)

Agreed.  The grain really suits the rocks.

I'd been wanting to photograph these rocks for over 30 years since I first did in 1987 (Kodachrome on a Nikon FE) but I just kept driving by on my occasional trips down the South Coast.

Recently I went there specifically to photograph the area.  Will dig them up to post soon...

Not really a landscape, but a tree in Byford, Western Australia.

nothing special about the tree, other than the colours of the sky, and my feeling the need to climb a tree again...

Foundation stones, all that remains of a cottage built circa 1833.

A stark landscape, but (as the song goes) everything is beautiful...in it's own way.

Byford, Western Australia.

i have been looking at the paddocks with a bunch of old trees like this for years now, hoping to be passing through at the right time.

I was finally there at almost the right time, just after sunset (15 mins earlier would have been a bit better)

Hi Dee

I like the old tree still just standing...it's age seems reflected in the decay of the old house.

all the best..

Storm light.

Today is officially the first day of winter in the Southern Hemisphere, though that season actually began two weeks ago for those of us who reside in the Snowy Mountains region,

bringing with it a burst of arctic winds and clear skies at night followed by big morning frosts.......but, yesterday there appeared from the east a strange, windless storm with fine,

misty rain and an occasional burst of sunlight, great for reflections on the river.
