Welcome to this thread and thanks for posting these as per Dee's (Platypus') suggestion.

I really like the highway curve in both B&W and colour (the latter having a slightly surreal look to it).

Please keep them coming.

Glad to see some new contributors to this thread as we regular offenders are just starting to run low on good photographs.

Nick, MarkP speaks truly!! Thank you for acting on my suggestion and please keep posting in this thread, we "regular offenders" need your support.

BTW when I said 'I don't know' about your Brisbane city shot I did not mean that I didn't like it, rather that I wasn't sure that it was taken in Oz. Please post that one here too, urban landscapes certainly qualify.

....and I really like your road shot, both versions, the light is superb.

Cuttagee Lake, Far South Coast. NSW.

The lake entrance closed to the sea last winter.

I love it Dee. So pleasing to see these really clean minimalist subtle creations too and a counterpoint to lots of rocks, clouds, foliage and drama too.

In the Australian Summer every garden needs a lawnmower to keep things neat, here's mine.

Aah but Mark challenged me to share some ether photos, nor ethereal photos.

OK in literary terms ether might refer to the clear air above the clouds......but who wants to see that when nice clouds are available  :p

For more ethereal subjects from me you might have to leave the Australian Landscapes genre ;-)

I am going to guess that fellow Aussies understood my joke when Mark challenged me about ether not ethereal :p

Every time I see new images from Kangaroo Island I am reminded that I should go back! What people who haven't visited may not be aware of, is the actual scale of that particular sculpted rock formation. I have an image somewhere with one of my family standing in your image there ;-) I should dig it out.

Mark I had the same in fact when I was last there. My wife has an image somewhere of my lonely figure left standing on the scene next to my M9 on a tripod waiting and hoping for a tiny break in the cloud cover as the sun sunk lower and lower! Now you are challenging me to dig further into the archives. Who has time to properly index all of those stored up negs and slides!

David

An amazing image across the Heads; the eroded rocks are such wonderful shapes. They look like Sunfish carcasses.  Nicely photographed..

Ramesh

All off the same roll? Nice.  Do you scan the negs at low contrast?.

And wouldn't "Sculpture by the Sea" be an amazing print.

Goodonya!

Dave,

Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated.

The Bondi beach shots and the Sydney skyline are from the same roll.

I should admit that I don't do much post processing after I scan, in my enthusiasm to share some of (what I consider to be) the better images in the forum :-)

My intention is to process them in Lightroom and/or the Nik collection, when I get some time in my hands.

As to the scanner, it is a recent acquisition and I haven't explored the scanner options much. So far, I have gone with the default settings, except for setting the required resolution.

Cheers,

Ramesh

Please post that one here too, urban landscapes certainly qualify.

I'd deferred posting cityscapes and urban landscapes, I certainly have plenty.

Perhaps we should have another thread for Australian city & urban?

Some photos taken within the cities still qualify as landscapes (i.e., primarily natural rather than man-made environment)

Any opinions?
