Geoff,

here's a Brisbane suburban-ether blessing for you:

Beautiful but not ethereal.

 Sorry

Ethereal: extremely delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world.

....I continue to maintain that 'ethereal' is a fairly accurate description of the original shot (by the other Mark) of the beautiful Brisbane river & fog ..... ;)

Geoff, not that I don't really like your photos and city but... :p

Aah but Mark challenged me to share some ether photos, nor ethereal photos.
OK in literary terms ether might refer to the clear air above the clouds......but who wants to see that when nice clouds are available  :p

For more ethereal subjects from me you might have to leave the Australian Landscapes genre ;-)

At the request of platypus, here's a few photos I've shot on my Leica M 240 and Summarit 35mm using VSCO's Kodak Tri-X and for colour, VSCO's Fuji 800Z presets in Lightroom.

For more B&W photos, visit http://nickb.photo and for more landscapes, visit http://myvisual.life.

Welcome to this thread and thanks for posting these as per Dee's (Platypus') suggestion.

I really like the highway curve in both B&W and colour (the latter having a slightly surreal look to it).

Please keep them coming.

Glad to see some new contributors to this thread as we regular offenders are just starting to run low on good photographs.

Remarkable Rocks, Kangaroo Island

Every time I see new images from Kangaroo Island I am reminded that I should go back! What people who haven't visited may not be aware of, is the actual scale of that particular sculpted rock formation. I have an image somewhere with one of my family standing in your image there ;-) I should dig it out.
