Thank you so much!

I'm still searching, but...this is partly what I'm hoping to achieve.  To feel one is walking on the warm steamy bitumen.

cheers  Dave S

PS your Berlin image #89 is visceral and beautiful, I feel the place

Thank you David. You succeeded as far as I'm concerned because your image evoked experiences in me both as an adult, but more so as a child, that most of us have had. I can actually also feel the sharpness of the blue metal on my bare feet.

When the Berlin images were made, I was a film man through and through. I used Kodak's HIE (R.I.P.) quite a lot for the sometimes surreal effect that the halation/bleeding gave. Occasionally this was more subtle than at other times. It worked well with the sculpture giving it, as you say, a visceral and organic feel.

Perfect arrangement of your camel models there jaques, you must have given very firm direction :)

Love the lightning @ Noosa Mark.

I recommend all the way from Magic Point (Maroubra South headland) through Boora Point (Malabar), round Long Bay, right down to Cape Banks Mark - my favourite part of the whole Eastern Suburbs - or you can drive in direct to the National Park via La Perouse and walk for miles with hardly a soul for company.

a very impressive image, which has a lot of a painting where all its meaning is being focussed and dramatized: well done!

What a great capture Mark!

I can feel the electricity in the air. And not without a little fear of where the next strike will be.

Thanks.

It took quite a while till I was able to photograph any lightning bolts - they are remarkable elusive to photograph!

It was an impressive storm. I was partly protected by a surf lifesaver's lookout which was substantial wooden structure, not a metal seat ;-)

Once I got the photo I was out of there quick smart and back to our apartment.

Cows and calves resting on the banks of the Bombala river, Snowy Mountains region, New South Wales.

This was taken today between rainstorms, these have been rolling up on a daily basis over the past few weeks,

as this end of summer would normally be bush fire season there are no complaints.

'End of summer'? Still waiting for it to start here with a relentless parade of daily storms . :(

But it's a good point about bushfires,  great to hear it's wet/quiet out there.

Just a pretty sky at Brunswick Heads, Northern NSW.

Drought tolerant English Oaks do quite well in the sheltered valleys of south eastern NSW, this tree was planted in 1834.

It's leafy branches would sweep to the ground if they were not constantly trimmed by foraging cattle, the acorns are a much sought after delicacy.
