Still a bit early yet, folks, but I will shortly be calling for numbers for supper on the Saturday. Usual drill.

I have a top secret agent working on this with me, who will be revealed if/when some interesting and exciting news transpires. He (narrows it down) has contacts in the city with some potential extra-curricular activities for the Friday evening and even earlier in the week that may be of interest.

Watch this space!

Hi there John

It'll be great to see you again . . . and I can organise mayhem under any circumstance and at any distance (both in terms of time and of distance :) )

Little do you realize you have 'committed' to mayhem at both a distance and time, to be revealed whilst in Lisbon.

I am looking forward to the upcoming event in Lisbon for multiple reasons, including seeing you and Emma again.

In the FT this weekend:  5 of the best places to eat in Central Lisbon - seems interesting!

List is

1. Cervejaria Ramiro; Avenue Almirante Reis 1 (need to queue but fast turnover)

5. Sea Me; Rua do Loreto 21(slightly manic, modish)

With many thanks to John Gorten and a friend of his in Portugal, an offer has been made to host a wine-tasting in Lisbon on the Friday evening before the Challenge. I suspect that John is just trying to nobble the opposition before hand :), but on the assumption that this is just my cynicism coming to the fore, we need to know how many people attending The Challenge would also like to partake of some of Portugal's finest product.

There will need to be a small charge of 6 Euro per person and the event will last an hour, from 17:00 - 18:00 on the Friday. More details will be available when we have them.

Numbers are restricted to 10 persons, but if there is strong interest a "second sitting" or a larger venue could be procured.

So, please form an orderly queue and let us know whether you're interested.

Another attraction is being looked at too, but that's still in it's infancy, and I will share that if and when something comes up.

So, in relation to wine-tasting, I will start... (Edit: and I will add to the list on this post as people respond)

+2 please. Provisional, to determine closer to the event if possible.

Already considering many options for the limited time in Portugal.

Life is sooo hard! :D

+1 please.

If there is enough room, otherwise I just do something else this evening.

I'm sure there will be the usual evening meet in a bar somewhere!

Andy, I'm definately 'in' for dinner on the Saturday, but will pass on the wine tasting as I need time to do some scouting for the challenge!

Dear Challenge friends,

Just to give you an idea about the location where the wine tasting event will take place on friday.

If I have counted well, there are still 5 or 6 places left.

First session will be between 17 and 18:00, second one between 18 and 19:00

Looking forward meeting you all again in this beautiful city!

John
