How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

I am loving the S (Typ 007), and I am amazed at the malleability of its files.  Here is an example showing recovery of a severely underexposed file.  I was shooting in manual mode this morning when this man came up riding on a bicycle, which is unusual to see on the beach.  I had no time to make adjustments to the exposure settings on the camera, so I quickly took a shot, and when I looked at it on the camera's display, I just knew I had missed it; all I saw was a very dark image with little detail.  Once I uploaded it to Lightroom, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the detail was there, and that I could increase the exposure by 4.3 stops without the slightest hint of noise.  The image went from virtual darkness to this:
