I took advantage of US company holiday this week went to Yosemite for a two day solo trip. I brought GFX100II and 3 S glasses along with GFX100RF and a Fuji Zoom lenses. This is the first time I used S glasses on GFX for photography oriented trip. I have to say this is the first time I feel I used S glass without any practical limitation of S system. I constantly find myself shooting at 1/30S below to take advantage of ISO80 clean file of Fuji, IBIS allow me manual focus at 180mm without issue. CPL is fine that won't dim my viewfinder, I can shoot f8 f11 with CPL without fight with minimal shutter speed or ISO. I of course miss OVF but it is a trade off for me. I think I am more incline to pick GFX now. 100 II became my favorite Camera body ever used. I sold it first time as I was frustrated with its menu but this time, I give myself long enough time to full understand it. I have to say I love it.

Here is first image with 180S stitched, it is about 180M file :) The file is incredible. Web display can't do justice for this. I feel this is 2nd time 180S is usable without Tripod, the first one was with SL2.

+1 & interesting read!

The resolution/clarity of S180 becomes evident once you attach the lens to an IBIS-system; it's one of my fav lenses (also S45 is particularly sharp, not too surprising given it's rather massive size/weight). I have shortly used GFX100S two times, without love. Perhaps GFX100II is something else, and perhaps (most likely) I havn't given the GFX-system sufficient time to learn. When I 'see' S4 on the horizon (*), I see lot's of opportunities, with continuous use of the many excellent S- and SL-lenses.

(*)To be clear: I havn't seen S4; but I do hope it is alive & being tested somewhere...

Thanks for the reply. S4 might be my dream camera if it was here 3 years ago:) GFX100II is almost click all the box for me, functional meet all my requirement, great build (enough premium without over luxury if that makes sense), great Viewfinder, great file quality. and I also utilize its JPEG engine for family shots adapt Nikone 58G, leica 80lux, and contax 645 80mm, M 50lux can be used at 6X7 or 1X1 as poorman's hasselblad 500. IBIS, EVF, all way tilt LCD, adapt ability and anything 1:1 to 3X4 format give me almost extra 1 stop of DOF are all welcome features make this a great fit for me. I no longer dive in any menu. If I do, I can find where they are now after set it and fine tune it over the past half year.

I absolutely love 180S too but I almost never bring this lens with S system with me for any trip as I know I need at least 1/500S to guarantee a stable shot if I can focus reliable with it on S system.

Here is one more 180S shot, again, it is a hand hold stitched shot.

And here is 100% screen shot of this 200M resolution. (unfortunately the image was rescaling that loss the sharpness here.)
