How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

There is something intriguing about the symmetry and formality of this photograph. I thought about cropping out the shadow at the top, but decided it adds to the mystery. Leica S007 and 45mm f/2.8 Contax Zeiss Distagon lens with the camera at ISO 400.

I have been shooting more with the S1R lately and it has some really nice features (high res mode with tilt shift were my primary reasons for getting the camera), but I get so much more pleasure out of shooting with my S006.

I shot this at Zabriskie Point in Death Valley almost mid-day.  I came back the next morning and shot it at sunrise, but got lazy and only brought the S1R, I regret that.
