Thanks, its my business partners bike.  As a point of interest, it’s the actual bike on the magazine cover on the wall.

Is that one of the new V7 remakes from Moto Guzzi?

Just come back from kids’ spring break trip, we went to ski and then go to East Sierra and Death Valley. For the trip, I brought Leica S camera and Z7. Again, Z7 is a lot easier to operating during hike and of course easy to shoot and get tones sharp images but I enjoy every minutes with Leica S. As much as people praise EVF, no camera gives me more connection and enjoyment than OVF to what I shoot. I am willing to take the size and weight for it gives me. (BTW, I have to say this trip reinforce my love of Z7 as well. It just delivers.)

Here is one image from Death Valley during sunset. My trip schedule is heavy loaded as usual that in additional hiking with family during day time, I need spend extra hour go out before sunrise and after sunset as much as I can.

Beautiful shot!  I had a trip scheduled to Death Valley this past February and had to cancel, I would really like to get there. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! Death Valley is beautiful place, but don't forget US 395.

Beautiful shot!  I love 395, I have driven it twice from Lee Vining to just west of Barstow, it is an amazing drive.  What I have not done is to take the time to photograph that area.

Do you think the rendering and look of the photos are very different compared to a shot with a Full Format System or Leica M?

I can easily answer that I enjoy shooting S the most :D I also would say I FEEL there is difference during edit and I believe the difference is mostly come from 16bit file. It is not that S sensor have enough lower noise floor to benefit from 16bit word length (S007 and latest Nikon have about same DR) but the file respond edit is different. S glass rendering is also beautiful but for landscape, most of time a small aperture shooting, I don't care rendering or I can;t see difference. M is great but I usually reserved that for city or travel need flying. General speaking, I use S system as much as I can.

I still needed spend more time on color with 007 to work on my way, but this could be my preference personally. However, I hugely appreciate 007 LV during low light focus and composition after this trip. I also like the file can be pushed a lot more harder than S006 without collapse.

Oh nice. Thanks for your words! Indeed the S has a very nice feeling. So you think too that S lenses rendering is some what organic?

Sure, that is the reason I am still with S system in additional to best OVF and collapse price LOL

As mentioned, I have zero interest in Fuji no matter it is 100M or 150M.
