Voigtlander Heliar 15 V3

21 SEM

28 Elmarit

35 Summicron

35 Summilux FLE

50 Summicron

50 APO Summicron

50 Summilux ASPH

50 Collapsible Summicron

Noctilux 0.95

75 Summicron

All current versions except collapsible of course.

If ever had to pare collection down to just one lens, then would keep the APO 50.

Otherwise hard to pick a favourite. Enjoy using all of them!

Didn't speak too soon. Both Summicrons have been replaced...

The 21 and 90 remain...

Summicron 50 v5

The 50 Summicron may get replaced by a Summilux 50 Asph in the not-too-distant future.

I have an old M8 and use all kinds of the classic Voigtländer lenses with M-bajonett or LTM (from 12-75mm), as well as the tiny 40mm Summicron-C and some Jupiter glass..

All of this glass does adapt well to my other mirrorless cameras.

21mm f/3.4 Super-Elmar-M ASPH

35mm f/1.4 Summilux FLE ASPH

50mm f/2 APO Summicron

90mm f/2 APO Summicron

Over the next two years I plan to evaluate if I should add the 28mm f/1.4 Summilux ASPH to this kit. I suspect the 28/1.4 and 50/2 would be my standard 2 lens travel kit.

I've decided to sell my 21mm and 90mm and replace them with the A7sII, Batis 25/2 and Batis 85/1.8

I'll probably pair up the A7sII with the 25/2 and the M240 with the 50/2 most of the time and use the 35/85 as an alternate paring.

I checked and, just in case anyone is wondering, uniting all three 50mm summiluxes and all three Noctiluxes doesn't cause Oskar's ghost to show up.

Have you try different set? Maybe uniting all lenses Leica produced will.. ;)

50mm Sumarit

50mm 1.2 Noctilux

50mm 0.95 Noctilux

Guys I am fascinated by the Noctilux 0.95.

I have never owned one but wondered how much you use the lens ?, how it compares to the APO and the Summilux ?, whether you would use it more if it weighed less or not ?

I am a big user of wide open, but find I am either using wide open or f8 and above (very occasionally inbetween). Could the noctilux be the 50mm answer to everything ? or do you prefer to work within the restrictions of f2 to use the APO ? or is the Summilux a good compromise, or not ?

So many questions so little time ;)

I'd never see Noctilux as a do it all 50. The weight and size is a pain, no focus tab, longish focus throw, and last but not least the infamous purple fringes. Did I forget the 1m minimum focus distance?

I seem to have two use-cases:

(1) On the Monochrom at night in bars and restaurants. Truth is I'd probably be better off cranking ISO and using the 35FLE. But it says Noctilux on the box, so...

(2) On the ME or M240 to get the classic Noctilux wide-open ethereal effect.

I love what it can do, but I would still pick the APO50 if I could only keep one lens.

Regardless, I'm sure you'll buy a Noctilux and try it sooner or later. Kind of itch that needs to be scratched!
