So far, mine's been flawless since it came back from Solms. Long may that continue

Solms also upgraded my DX reader to the optical type and also adjusted the shutter timings, the exposure meter and the rangefinder. They also cleaned the rangefinder, adjusted all parts, and provided a cleaning. I only asked for the DX reader to be replaced.

did you ship your m7 directly to Germany or to leica NJ,then they sent it to solms?

That's what they did for mine too.

 

The only thing they didn't do was change the viewfinder to the MP one.

I sent it to Leica NJ with the request "pretty please change the DX reader" and off it went to Solms from there.

 

It was back 5 weeks later.

... The only thing they didn't do was change the viewfinder to the MP one.

Leica NJ had already done that for me.
