Jeff S Posted June 15, 2015 Share #105 Posted June 15, 2015 I will be watching the Q picture thread over the next couple of weeks and see what kind of people pictures you guys can come up with..........................the proof is in the pudding so they say Garry Winogrand spent a lifetime photographing (over 5 million pics), with people as common subject matter, mostly using a 28mm lens with his Leica. He even devoted a book to 'beautiful' women, including some iconic images. Neil, one hopes you're just playing again…otherwise, you really need to get out more…or get some decent photo books to study on that rig. Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted June 15, 2015 Share #113 Posted June 15, 2015 There are some great images on the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/leicaQ/ First comment on that FB page A bit of honesty... The corners are pretty bad in the Leica Q. What's strange to me is that the fixed lens sensor combo is supposed to be better for quality and there are software corrections made to the raw file before we even see it. The corrections still result in extremely soft corners. Is this something that could be further improved upon when the Lightroom profile is released or will this only address color? Having said this, I'm still extremely impressed with everything else about this camera. That's not good

bernie.lcf Posted June 15, 2015 Share #116 Posted June 15, 2015 First comment on that FB page A bit of honesty... The corners are pretty bad in the Leica Q. Ok, this just made me shoot a brick wall at f1.7 at close distance and while the corners are not as good as the outstanding center, it is very very far from "pretty bad" or even "extremely soft". OIS does not make a difference. I will try mid to far distances in the next days, but as far as I am concerned that soft corner talk is either rubbish or I am just the one super lucky guy with a perfect Q.
