Hi,

I have the oppertunety to buy a 1940 Grey Leica IIIc.

The thing is, the camera is an early 1940 model, serialnumber 3680XX. And I don't seem to be able to find any information about the value of these early non-K grey IIIc's.

The camera has black (grey) painted strap hooks (which I have never seen before), and a black shutter speed dial.

If you have any information about the value of such a beauty, I would love to hear from you.

The camera comes without lens.

Best, Niels

Strange, another gray, 368016 is being discussed currently in German Forum. And both seem to have same features which genuine gray Leicas did not have. Same camera or another counterfeit?

I don't quite agree on the price ;)

Right, about the current bid... .; indeed  I hadn't noticed it was an auction... saw just the estimate price and thought that ti was much better than the one for the legendary IIG :D
