Advertisement Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hi jdlaing, Take a look here M8 banding at ISO 640. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
goatsby Posted January 9, 2016 Author Share #22 Posted January 9, 2016 No that photo was natural light through the window only.
jdlaing Posted January 9, 2016 Share #23 Posted January 9, 2016 The reason I ask is it doesn't look like banding seen elsewhere. It looks like electronic or microwave interference.
Rus Posted January 11, 2016 Share #24 Posted January 11, 2016 I've had exactly the same type of banding appear a couple of times with my M9. Both cases the camera was low on battery, and both happened after I started using a new SD card (Sandisk 32Gb U3-I). Not all the images shot on low battery on this card have this problem though. In fact some images were taken with even more severe underexposure in-camera (I use the "shoot at ISO640 and push in pp" way...), and pushing them in pp show only the normal evenly distributed noise. That said, I have switched back to the slower Sandisk 16Gb U1 card, and have yet to see a problem. Will report back if I encounter more of this problem.
