stuny Posted May 18, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Durian is definitely an acquired taste, and smell. One of the times we attempted it (in Cambodia, I think) its smell and taste were just too unpleasant for us. Our guide and driver were pleased by that, since it meant more durian for them. This photo is in Manhattan's Chinatown. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Iduna Posted May 20, 2015 Share #5 Posted May 20, 2015 Stuart, this stinking fruit is a challenge for us. As far as I know there are special places where it is allowed to sell them. You won't find them everywhere on a Chinese market. This is at least what I noticed.

stuny Posted May 21, 2015 Author Share #8 Posted May 21, 2015 Shawn - Thank you. Mark - thank you. Of course since I wasn't brought up on it I'm no fan of Vegimite. Perhaps Durian requires similar early life experiences.
