Advertisement Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Hi lct, Take a look here Does 12504 lens hood fit the 35mm Summicron 7-element (Bokeh king)?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Winedemonium Posted November 8, 2015 Share #22 Posted November 8, 2015 I'm a big fan of the 12504. One reason is that you can unscrew it and insert a Seri VII filter inside it. This was really for the 1.4/35 Summilux pre-ASPH which lacks a filter thread on the lens. But used with the Type IV Summicron it allows you to put your UV filter in the hood (presuming you use one - maybe you don't) and you could add a colour filter to the actual lens without removing that one... or whatever combination you want. Just a nice added feature compared to 12585 (which is fine but a bit 'tall' for the Cron I think).
lct Posted November 8, 2015 Share #23 Posted November 8, 2015 Stacking two filters is not the best way to avoid flare IMHO but YMMV.

lct Posted November 8, 2015 Share #25 Posted November 8, 2015 Hi Jean-Marc, 35/2 v4. The pic shows the "tiger claw" of the early version.
