120 Posted April 14, 2015 Share #101 Posted April 14, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am not understanding which threads (if any) did not make the move? So there is an "archive" someplace for > 2 year old threads with attachments? When I use the Leica Forum search function (compared to Google search) there seem to be many threads missing. Advertisement Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Hi 120, Take a look here Leica Forum Move on Friday / Saturday. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted April 14, 2015 Share #102 Posted April 14, 2015 Threads over 2 years old, with attachments, will have lost those attachments in the migration to the new database/forum. This was made clear last week, hence the reason why certain very old threads were "bumped" to keep them alive. Impossible to do for every thread, of course. 120 Posted April 14, 2015 Share #103 Posted April 14, 2015 Thanks for the reply. Are you sure? It looks like there are surviving old threads that did not get bumped and did not lose their attachments. Also it looks like there are threads missing. It was also stated there is an "archive" for old threads with attachments...not sure where that is.
farnz Posted April 14, 2015 Share #104 Posted April 14, 2015 Andreas managed to modify the algorithm to also include 'old' (stale) threads with > 1,000 views. Pete.
IkarusJohn Posted April 14, 2015 Share #105 Posted April 14, 2015 Not sure if this is the right place, or if Andreas has the time of inclination, but here goes. I like the View New Content feature - it works very well. One thing, though I'd like to have carried over from the previous forum if possible. Having scrolled through all the unread content, I note that we don't have the divider we used to have "New since your last visit". Is it possible to have a similar feature? Having reviewed what is new, it's nice to glance at what has happened since the last visit. I will often just look at the header and think I'll read it later, so I don't want the threads marked as read ... Great work, by the way. Great improvement. wda Posted April 15, 2015 Share #106 Posted April 15, 2015 I turn to the New Content often. It would be good to have a filter to read either English or German threads but not both. (Posted in another place but removed without redirection.)

LUF Admin Posted April 16, 2015 Author Share #115 Posted April 16, 2015 And now that I'm on my pc I can see the smilie. It would appear that, on my iPad using Safari, I cannot use smilies I just tried a quick fix. Worked when testing with iPad emulation on my Mac. Doesn't work with Safari on iPad. Please try - perhaps it works for you. Andreas

Gibbo Posted April 16, 2015 Share #117 Posted April 16, 2015 But not on my iPhone. In fact, I'm not sure I like the way the forum works on my iPhone. You seem to lose a lot of the functionality as it is very different to the normal browser display!

Gibbo Posted April 16, 2015 Share #119 Posted April 16, 2015 Which button would that be, Andy? There's a button which offers me Messenger, Notifications, Members, Forum, Gallery, Buy & Sell, New Content, Status Updates, Search and Mark as Read. None of these give me an option to alter the way the forum displays as far as I can see. Unless I'm missing something obvious
