Don Morley Posted February 23, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can anyone tell me if the genuine Leica R adapter has a six bit lens code? And also will the camera recognise it in Auto lens recognition, or do you have to switch over instead either to off or the Manual lens settings? AND do you have to use manual exposure settings as well, or will it continue to expose correctly on the Auto (AV) shutter dial setting? Thanks, Don:o
Advertisement Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Hi Don Morley, Take a look here Using R Lenses on M240. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted February 23, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 23, 2015 Yes, and so has Novoflex. You can set the lens in menu for the most common lenses, but not all. AE will work.
Berlinman Posted February 23, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 23, 2015 And if You only use one lens with the adapter the camera rememberes the last lens setting if You mount the adapter again.
Bill W Posted February 23, 2015 Share #4 Posted February 23, 2015 A very slick adapter that includes a tripod adapter if your particular lens does not have one so you are not using the camera to support a heavy R lens.
