lct Posted February 2, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 2, 2015 Seems to have been 5000 cameras like that in 1985-1986 according to Leica Wiki.

I'm officially adult! *stamps on floor* I've been 21 years-old 3.333333~ times. Ah, you see I'm transcendental in a relative sense. No, you are not a relative unless we reach back about 200,000 years. I would remember. .
jip Posted February 5, 2015 Share #8 Posted February 5, 2015 In 2012 I joined this forum, just before I bought my first Leica, the M8! I think I was the youngest (active) forum member back then, and maybe I still am!

Going by his member name, he must be close to 19 by now, but I have seen him contribute for years and years in the German speaking part of the forum. Brenton C Posted April 29, 2015 Share #12 Posted April 29, 2015 I was 22 then, but didnt get my own R4 til last summer. It's shamefuly taken me til this week to kill off roll #1 (Velvia 50 ASA). i can hardly wait to see how I did, and howmthe camera did, cause I took what I hope were some nice landscapes in the Rockies this weekend on roll#2, portra 160, this time. i have to say I'm really enjoying the camera so far. It feels wonderful in holding it and using it. By contrast with my Canon AE1, which someone did me the favor of stealing, i can slip easily between full auto, full manual, or either shutter or apeture priority. I felt I was always fighting against the canon, couldnt reliably get it into manual mode, and blew many simple shots that I'd tried oh so deliberately to get right. i suspect that if this camera ever lets me down, I'll just get another. It's been a great companion to my M3, and I think the OP is gonna love that pristine looking example!
