Seems like his personal style - the picture of the girl is to dark (in my opinion) too.  ;)

 

Maybe, but some folks edit on too bright screens (like iPads) consequently to everyone else, they look dark! But yes, way too dark for me too.

Actually, I should have mentioned this Summicron shot is taken with a pre-asph series 4 lens I purchased new, back in 1988. And I still haven't got round to coding it for the M9... maybe tomorrow.

Maybe I'm too fascinated by pinturas negras (Goya) or some prints by Rembrandt... ;)

 

If you are not fascinated by Rembrandt's prints,someone should keep an eye on you.

 

My personal experience is that images on this forum appear darker than they do directly through my software. Much like dry down of darkroom prints. I now make the final "prints" that I post here a bit lighter than I normally like - and they appear right when I post them here.
