pauledell Posted December 19, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 19, 2014 A wonderful picture with the lovely silvery moon that reflects off the lake and offers a hint on the mountains and clouds. Paul

newnew Posted December 20, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted December 20, 2014 Thank you Ingrid, Paul, Stuart. This was taken from the ship's deck. I was glad to have quiet seas for long exposure.

XVarior Posted December 20, 2014 Share #6 Posted December 20, 2014 Fascinating. I can see another picture in this picture, one without the moon, cropped in probably 16:9 format
newnew Posted December 20, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted December 20, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you Ali, XVarior. Great suggestion. Here is a 16:9 frame from another exposure without the moon. I like it. Welcome, dear visitor! fotografr Posted December 23, 2014 Share #10 Posted December 23, 2014 I love the second version. The stars have much more impact and the inclusion of more water at the bottom emphasizes the beautiful moonlight reflection. It's amazing that you were able to do this on a ship's deck, even on calm water.
newnew Posted December 23, 2014 Author Share #11 Posted December 23, 2014 Thank you Dee, Brent, on the good suggestion of X-varior. The picture is reasonably sharp for such a subject. M9P I wanted to capture the mood. This place is called the pass of the Bordelais (the captain from Bordeaux) who discovered it first between these two islands.
