Bill W Posted November 18, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 18, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I could not find any other thread on this. Has anyone tried this software to print with an Epson printer. I ran across it while reading the latest Outdoor Photographer. www.PrinTao8.com

sanyasi Posted November 24, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 24, 2014 I took a look at the website. I am curious as to whether: This can be plugged into Photoshop. Doesn't look like it. The profiles are custom or just manufacturer profiles. I plan to send an e-mail inquiry.
Luke_Miller Posted November 24, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 24, 2014 Looks to provide Mac users with similar functionality as Qimage, which is Windows only. If so, it would be a stand alone application.
sanyasi Posted November 24, 2014 Share #6 Posted November 24, 2014 I received the following response to my e-mail to the company today: Dear Jack, PrinTao 8 is a stand alone application but works seamlessly with other mainstream production software like Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. Please see Moose Peterson's short PrinTao 8 tutorial/review movie The ICC profiles are from the paper manufacturer and reside in a database within PrinTao 8. This makes them easily accessible and eliminates any confusion regarding cryptic names or extensions such as "pk" and "mk". The name of the actual media is the profile itself. for e.g. Canson Arches Aquarelles 310 gsm. Custom profiles are easily added as well. If you have any further questions or would like to contact me directly I would welcome an email or phone call. Thanks for your time and consideration Jack. I've also attached the most recent review from a Canadian publication. Best regards, Darren Vena Hope that is useful. Looks like a relatively inexpensive product. I hate the Epson print drivers, particularly when I change paper sizes.
