stuny Posted September 26, 2014 Share #1  Posted September 26, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Of course we wanted to see elusive cats like jaguar and puma (we did see an ocelot), but she most wanted to see giant anteaters, especially with babies on their backs. Below are two close-ups of a baby on the back of its mother, a wider shot showing both creatures, and two more giant anteater photos so you can see other characteristics of them: the claws on their front legs, and their huge tail which helps them balance when runnung, and drapes over their bodies like a blanket when they sleep. We saw all of these on foot by staying down wind and being very quiet. We saw others from our tour 4x4s. the adults are about the size of St Bernard dogs.  Welcome, dear visitor!
