Arnaud Arnaud , I agree and i add .... with the M7 and lens, such as a 28 (works great on the M7, without external viewfinder) and a b&w film and a M-A a 50mm with color film Personally , I will do so on my next medical humanitarian mission, next year. Erl,as I said to Arnaud, the M7 will serve me more to have 2 cameras with 2 kinds of film (b&w and color) , but if I have MA (current order) I will use as a measure of exposure as you said with a lens as ApoTelyt 135 or Apo Summicron 90, I like to photograph architecture of the pagodas for example, with its details, as I did in my last mission. .... and I agree with you, I'll keep both and the M-A is cheaper than a M240 and the general rendering is superior in film ! M7 + Summicron-M 28mm along with M-A + Summilux-M 50mm no need for batteries (well only 2 sets of DL 1/3 N, just in case, for a couple of grams weight) What is waiting time for your M-A ? My thought is that the angle of coverage of the meter with the 50mm lens is less. This allows a person to meter more selectively. Regardless of which lens is later used to take the photo. When the metered camera has the 28mm lens then the metering pattern covers a wider angle of view. Sometimes a meter which measures a wider angle of view can be less useful. My concern was using the 28mm lens to meter for the 50mm lens because: It is often easier to meter appropriately with reflected light metering if the meter is covering a smaller angle of view.
