algrove Posted December 25, 2014 Author Share #144 Posted December 25, 2014 Have. You. Had. Any. Lookups. With. The. Cameras. You. Have. Sent. In. For. Repair. ? Have not used either since being returned to me. Since the M-P suits my style of shooting landscapes more than the M240, I am debating selling both. wlaidlaw Posted December 26, 2014 Share #145 Posted December 26, 2014 All my lock ups on the M240 have been with the EVF mounted. Not temperature dependant and not SD card dependant as it has happened with SanDisk, Transcend and Lexar (all pro max speed cards from 16 to 64 GB, all had first format done with SD Formatter). I had one yesterday in a warm but not hot room (about 20ºC), EVF fitted and Noctilux on my third shot of the day. Needed the battery popping to reset. Guest roey Posted January 31, 2015 Share #146 Posted January 31, 2015 My lockups have not stopped. I have been experimenting for the last several months with different cards, batteries and settings. I have been getting lockups pretty consistently when shooting soccer. I usually dial in a high shutter speed and let auto ISO manage the exposure for me. I shot uncompressed raw, don't use an EVF, use single shot mode and I often shoot two to five pictures within an equal amount of seconds. Usually the lockups require me to remove the battery (the exposure display in the viewfinder shows --- ). I am getting convinced that this is related to the noise reduction that the M240 does at higher ISOs. Why? Because I am getting more lockups during the winter time and today I have limited the ISO to 800 and have not had any problems at all.
