Dan Bachmann Posted November 4, 2014 Share #43 Posted November 4, 2014 I noticed that LCE/London Camera Exchange is doing a Bristol Photowalk on the same day. I think it is sponsored by Olympus and there will be some loaner cameras. I'd like to see what an OM-D can do with a Leica M or 4/3rds lens on it. DigitalHeMan Posted November 4, 2014 Share #44 Posted November 4, 2014 I noticed that LCE/London Camera Exchange is doing a Bristol Photowalk on the same day. I think it is sponsored by Olympus and there will be some loaner cameras. I'd like to see what an OM-D can do with a Leica M or 4/3rds lens on it. Maybe we could do a kind of flash mob - all join the walk, borrow an Olympus, and then as soon as everyone else starts shooting, pull out our Leicas and start singing

farnz Posted November 8, 2014 Share #47 Posted November 8, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) For general info for those travelling from or through London the following are the railway and tube engineering works that are planned for 15th: Central line: no service between White City and Ealing Broadway District Line: no service between Aldgate East and Upminster Hammersmith & City: no service between Moorgate and Barking First Great Western: amended services between Paddington and Reading. You can check up-to-date train times at this link. There also a tab for Changes to Train Times. At the moment the service I'm expecting to take is unaffected and it looks like trains to Bristol should run to timetable. Pete.
SmithyT Posted November 9, 2014 Share #48 Posted November 9, 2014 Quick thought for anyone goign down Friday evening... there is a night market being held at St. Nicks market, Corn Street, with victorian styled entertainment and the x-mas light switch on. The Bristol Steampunks will be ambling around; just becasue they can (I am one of them so I should know!!). So if you find yourself wandering the city the night before the meet, at least you can find something to photograph! Sean's outdoor cafe should even be doing mulled wine by then

IWC Doppel Posted November 10, 2014 Share #51 Posted November 10, 2014 Hi guys I'm sorry to say I'll have to give this one a miss unfortunately :-( Hoping to have a bit more time next year, it's fun and games with dry rot in the new place (not unexpected) but the spraying and treatment will be over the weekend and I'll need to sort a few things out. Old houses I love 'em but....

IWC Doppel Posted November 10, 2014 Share #53 Posted November 10, 2014 Thanks, when the house is fully refurbished I'll be in a position to put a few guys n gals up. We could have a waitrose pot for the grub and wine and I'll cook to minimise expense for those a long way from the South West

Might be crappy early on but it should clear by midday It'll give me another excuse to play with my new 50mm Summicron - I got a good deal on one from Ffordes (such a nice man there!)
