My copy arrives tomorrow ..... cannot wait!

M

Mine should arrive tomorrow as well.

Empty cupboard now where the 50 Lux ASPH and all the F-mount Zeiss and Voigtländers once dwelt. They are all in a better place now (spoken as I wipe a tear for the Summilux)...

Spent about a week wondering if I could afford the APO and was on the brink of taking the plunge, when one as 'as new' surfaced in London at a good price. Irresistible! If the documentation can be believed the lens was enjoying its second birthday the very evening its owner put it up for sale. What impresses most (apart from the excellent ergonomics – mine has a not-too-loose aperture ring – and the look of the lens on the 262 camera) is the 'gentle' quality it can offer up. My first test shot, inside the shop indeed looks 'soft' but when you scale up the lower leaves you see all the fine detail is there, but somehow the fragility of the flowers is caught. I look forward to testing versus my 50 Summilux ASPH, when the overcast weather here lifts…….

Very colourful photo.  I hate to be a party-pooper but one could see the expressions clearly on those men's faces having used any Leica lens made in the last 60 years.  Well maybe not a Thambar ;-)

I agree, and would question whether any of the images in this thread,at the resolution the Forum allows, look any different/better in comparison to other well taken images. But please enjoy your lenses!
