Joshua Lowe Posted December 30, 2015 Share #424 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) I caved and bought the MM246 + APO 50. I've taken around 5,000 shots w/ my Summilux 50/1.4 ASPH on the M240 in a variety of conditions and the APO is on another level w/ the M240 and in a completely different league with the MM. When you're shooting color I'd say the difference is not as pronounced, I don't know if that's due to the lens or the M240. In either case I find the APO's oof areas at f2 to be far more natural and less... gimmicky looking... than the Lux is at f1.4 and f2. BerndReini Posted January 11, 2016 Share #432 Posted January 11, 2016 Jan, what's the aperture on this? 2.8/4?
Jan1985 Posted January 11, 2016 Share #433 Posted January 11, 2016 Jan, what's the aperture on this? 2.8/4? I used f/4. Some weeks ago i had an nearly identical shot and f/2 was too slight. So i rembered and changed immediately to f/4.

BerndReini Posted January 18, 2016 Share #439 Posted January 18, 2016 I used f/4. Some weeks ago i had an nearly identical shot and f/2 was too slight. So i rembered and changed immediately to f/4. I love shooting the 50Apo especially at medium distances because it is so well corrected, but I'll have to adjust for these tight portraits. Thanks, Jan.
