macos Posted April 30, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) At a nighttime photoshooting I noticed a bigger spiderweb beyond a lamp. I guess it is a female 'Larinoides cornutus', one of the most impressive spiders we have here. The male counterpart is significantly smaller R 4.0/35-70 on E300. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking Marcus

fotografr Posted April 30, 2007 Share #4 Posted April 30, 2007 Tough life for small insects trapped in that snare. I wonder if they have nightmares while waiting to be eaten? Great shots.

macos Posted May 1, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted May 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Arthur, Stuart, Brent, Leicamann and John, thank you for the comments. I am not sure what her name was. Of course I asked her, but she did not reply. Probably because of the geek-alarm: some guys with cameras in the middle of the night BR Marcus

Thanks for sharing Regards, Leicamann Leicamann... ...you're totally into Charlotte... must be some movie! have to watch that. Macos.. love your pictures... and yes... the blue background perfectly complements the spider's colours... ...do I get that right?... you use an R lens on Olympus E300? macos Posted May 4, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted May 4, 2007 ...do I get that right?... you use an R lens on Olympus E300? Hi Marc, thanks for the comment. And yes, I use digital quite rarely (still prefer analog), but for these purposes I engage my R lenses and eventually the bellow on the E300. There is a R to 4/3 adapter which allows focusing of the R lenses even to infinity with crop factor 2, so no bigger problem here. marc_dufour Posted May 4, 2007 Share #12 Posted May 4, 2007 Fabulous shots, Marcus ! There is a lot of "savoir-faire", here. Marc
Leicamateur Posted May 4, 2007 Share #13 Posted May 4, 2007 Marcus, I always thought using R lenses on 4/3 is rather difficult... but your photos proof that the results can be brilliant. I'm thinking of getting an adapter and some R lenses as well, thanks for your insight... With which lenses do you use the bellows btw? can be used with any R lens or only macro lenses? macos Posted May 5, 2007 Author Share #14 Posted May 5, 2007 Thank you, Marc Concerning the lenses, in principle you can use all lenses with the bellow, but it makes sense to apply the ones with the longer focal distances. I really like the R 2.8/135 with the bellow and of course the 2.8/60. The APO 100 is of also fabulous as well as the 350. You can of course only operate the camera in A and M mode with the adaptor.
