Anybody else make the mistake that I just did?

I left a cf card in my pants and then put them in the washing machine.

Should I consider this card dead and throw it out?

Thx,

Mark

Chuck them in a bowl of rice and leave them on the windowsill for a few days and hopefully you will be able to recover any images on them you need.

Chances are they will work fine, but i wouldnt trust them again (i would recover any pics, then bin them)

Yes! :D

No! :D

Put it on a windowsill and just let it dry naturally. One of my 32gb Lexars went through a complete white cycle a few years ago. I'm still using it.

The really good news is you won't do it again.

According to the TV detective dramas which I have reason believe are meticulously accurate on such points, there's always an under-appreciated socially-inadequate spotty kid working in a smelly back room of a dilapidated video-rental store who can retrieve information from any device no matter how badly damaged. At the same time he'll add massive amounts of resolution and find detail in the photos that you never could have dreamed of.
