From the website; Working alone without assistance, Walter is solely responsible for the design and manufacture of the Walter M-Stedi and Walter Eyepiece. He is a photographer of German descent and always works with classical music playing in the background.

I expect he listens to The Nutcracker when making those wooden M's :D It's nice that it has a suitably 'Leica' price tag too.

I'm sure that the current work is just an intermediate step towards manufacturing the first wooden rangefinder ("WM"), while he builds tools and expertise. In this context, I see the "nutcracker" assembly as an early prototype of the WM's film advance, or shutter curtain mechanism

I would like a wooden LTM to M mount converter, especially in fancy grain cocobolo wood. I had a wooden battery, but it caught fire when I tried to recharge it!

Well, now it's time to practice on my chrome & vulcanite violin!
