fotomas Posted January 24, 2014 Share #23 Posted January 24, 2014 Hello, I just asked the guy who got his 100 ISO films ruined in Japan I was talking about in my previous post. And yes, he had some of the films in the checked in luggage. So radiation there must be rather strong. He was in Tokyo.
Stealth3kpl Posted January 31, 2014 Share #24 Posted January 31, 2014 Oops, I've just left a film in my shorts and it has gone through the system in the hold. I'll report back in a couple of days Pete The films are back. Drum roll,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, The radiation in the hold was strong enough to affect the composition of all the photos including those in my carry-on. Other than that there was no effect. The film is portra 160. It travelled from Cuba to Paris to Manchester so could've been scanned 3 times, perhaps only once, perhaps not at all. I wouldn't advise taking the risk though. Take it in your carry-on. Pete Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
