DigitalHeMan Posted January 2, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2014 Nice shots. I did that a couple of years ago in Scheveningen NL when the water temperature was 3c - it certainly wakes you up after New Year's Eve!
Louis Posted January 2, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 2, 2014 A very interesting set! I like the reflection in the water, and the B/W conversion is excellent!
pauledell Posted January 2, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 2, 2014 Dario, The first shot looks so serious but turns out to be an event of crazy fun. A great series with the interest grabbing composition, the tones, sharpness and action. Paul
sblitz Posted January 2, 2014 Share #5 Posted January 2, 2014 Great fun. Enjoyed the shots. There is a group that does same every New Year's Day off of Coney Island in Brooklyn
stuny Posted January 2, 2014 Share #6 Posted January 2, 2014 Excellent, especially #1 which seems very surreal.
Karl G Posted January 2, 2014 Share #7 Posted January 2, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Really enjoyable;e series with the reflections and composition in one and the mad dash of attractive ladies splashing into the water.

lanetomlane Posted January 3, 2014 Share #11 Posted January 3, 2014 Absolutely lovely. I particularly like 1 and 2 for their great clarity and tones. Number 3 is certainly a well executed fun shot. bomberclad Posted January 3, 2014 Share #14 Posted January 3, 2014 the first is my fav - the dense of people in the background with the diagonal empty space-filling towards the leader paired with these delicate tones and reflections - very well done! the b/w conversion I also like most in #
Iduna Posted January 3, 2014 Share #15 Posted January 3, 2014 Dario, entertaining and brilliant series. The first two could be from a cinema scene or a classic documentary (it reminds me of Leni Riefenstahl style) and then the splash thing is turning this serious matter impact to its contrary. Really nice.
schmolinski Posted January 13, 2014 Author Share #16 Posted January 13, 2014 Sorry for the late reply. Was to busy with other things... THANK your very much for such a great response and so many encouraging comments! Really makes me happy. Hope to find more time to come back here! To be honest image #1 could be called a snapshot since I didn't really care for composition. If I had taken more care for composition I would have done the framing of the guy in th right much better. It should have included his reflection on the watrer instead of such a big sky... Anyway thank you for your comments! And special thanks to master Larry. Your compliment really makes me proud!
