TDR Posted December 20, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 20, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just received my M 240 and am having problems getting the frame lines and the exposure meter to come on in the optical viewfinder (the rangefinder window). The frame lines flash on and off. The exposure indicators (the triangles and the dot) appear at random. I've been using M9s on a daily basis, so I am familiar with the basics. The M 240 has some new complexities, so I thought I would ask the forum for suggestions of what I might be doing wrong before sending the camera back. I didn't see any relevant posts. Thank you for any help you can provide. Tim
Advertisement Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Hi TDR, Take a look here M 240 frame lines and exposure meter problems. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted December 20, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 20, 2013 It should be that they come on when the camera is switched on. If they flicker something is wrong.
earleygallery Posted December 20, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 20, 2013 Sounds like an electrical fault. Maybe try draining and recharging the battery to make sure it's at full power but if you see the same problem I'd return the camera for another one. TDR Posted December 20, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted December 20, 2013 It does seem like an electrical problem. I was hoping that there was some menu item I didn't know about. I did wait six months for the camera to arrive. Thank you for your replies.
