Just like to say it was great attending todays "Leica Meet" so ably organised by Gibbo yet again and so nice it was held in Bath. From my part it was good to renew old acquaintance's and meeting new ones.

I'm sorry I didn't stay the course but another engagement had cropped up which meant I spent several hours visiting the Sainsbury's major South West distribution centre at Emerson's Green with my son and grandchildren. What an eye opener that was, a shame though I didn't take my camera. Watching a Reach Truck Driver lifting a pallet load of beer weighing 800+ Kgs up about 35 was quite scary and would have made an interesting image.

Well I you all have safe journeys home.

Best wishes

Mike Bidwell :)

When did Eric Clapton arrive?!;)

(I confirm that Dave did know the lens cap was on - he was getting an idea of how the E-clypse Eyecup with 0.85 de-mag helps spectacle wearers to see the frame lines.)

Huge thanks to Dave and Lynn for arranging the meet-up and sorting out the weather at such a pleasant venue. It was really nice to catch up with members and others I haven't seen for some time and particularly nice to meet some members for the first time. I hope those members felt welcome, enjoyed themselves and will come to future meet-ups.

And finally a special thanks to Andy Barton for driving 4 hours each way to bring us the first printed copy of the Leica User Book 2014, which I also thought was beautifully set out by Andy and superbly printed by Blurb. The depth of the blacks is excellent as is the detail and smooth graduation between tones. I look forward to receiving and showing off my copy.:)

A thoroughly lovely day.

Pete.

Here's a snap in the crescent which made a suitable Easter greeting this morning!

Taken with an old Zeiss Sonnar lens ;)

What a beautiful image Dan, really pleased that you had at least reasonable weather for your visit.

Best wishes

With thanks to Gibbo + his better half for organising the meet in Bath; really enjoyed the company of you all and still trying to match the names with the L camera signatures. A treat to view the L Camera annual photo books (2010, 2012 & 2014) compiled by andybarton (much hard work) - I think these really are 'a must have' for L Camera contributers, they are of the moment, deeply inspiring and just priceless, thank you, frank.

A few from the day with Terry's 35mm Biogon, mostly at f4. Thanks for letting me have a play. Developing them was interesting, it was quite different in it's tonality, probably exaggerated by the overcast day, I did play a bit in LR
