Selling My M9

I only buy gear from dealers with warranty, and therefore prefer selling to them, since they will only re-sell with a warranty, thus commanding a higher price, and that won't happen unless condition is acceptable. So, I'd let the dealer make the call and decide if terms are acceptable.

I recently sold a minty M8.2 to a dealer who re-sold the camera with warranty and gave me 87% of the purchase price that would not have been possible without the warranty (sold on their eBay site for more than agreed store price).

Jeff I'd love to find a dealer that would give that much value - I realize it's apples to oranges but if you for instance sell on consignment the least I've been quoted was a 20% sellers fee to a whopping 30% sellers fee. So if you're lucky enough to get $5000 for an M9p you're paying them $1000-1500 and I don't know if the buyer is getting any more than a 30day warranty...

Why didn't you ask?

Popflash gives 87% if it sells in the first couple of weeks (can't remember if it's 2 or 3), then 80%. I made sure I priced mine right (even had them raise their initial quote and improve the marketing language, agreeing that both made sense), and it sold in only a day or two (at a higher price even than my already raised price). A little finesse and the result was much better than if I sold it on my own and got a few hundred bucks more and had all the fuss with that.

Wish we had Popflash in Germany, too.
