philipus Posted September 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 25, 2013 I use App Cleaner which is very simple (drag and drop) and takes care of all related files. It's freeware. App Zapper costs a few dollars and is a bit more useful, for instance because it can monitor Trash. App Cleaner will not remove an app that has been first moved to Trash; it needs to be dragged into AC from where it was installed. But I haven't found AC's limitation in this respect to be a problem. Life Hacker has this write-up. The Best App Uninstaller for Mac Edit: Wilfredo, if you meant unwanted software that came installed with the OS, then the best (though a bit time consuming) thing to do is to to a fresh install and remove things like Garage Band (unless, of course, one wants to have Garage Band). OS X is much better than Windows with respect of unnecessary software but it is possible to streamline an installation a lot by removing excess stuff from scratch. kcg Posted September 28, 2013 Share #5 Posted September 28, 2013 I have a mac book pro, not an iMac.and running lion 10.7. To remove any program just drag it to the recycle bin and your program will be removed. Hope this helps.

I use AppDelete.
wilfredo Posted September 30, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted September 30, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you all. I want to delete my Google. It seems to have a virus, with those annoying pop-ups that offer to solve the problem. No problems with Safari but my usual Google is acting weird, for example, the sound on you-tube videos is out of synch with the visual. I want to dump it and reload it anew. Thanks! M. Valdemar Posted October 3, 2013 Share #8 Posted October 3, 2013 I can't figure out if you're being serious or attempting to make a joke. If I take you seriously, you realize you can't "delete Google". It is not a program. Do you mean Google Chrome, the browser? Thank you all. I want to delete my Google.
