M240 - leveling while shooting?

If it's not too much to ask, could we have the horizon function visible *while* using the EVF? Even a grid would help here... A lot of us are used to the Universal Wideangle Finder M and its integrated bubble level.

Agree! With EVF and live view it should be entirely possible. It is only a matter of programming and FW. But this (programming) is not Leica's strongest side I am afraid..

2015 FW update. It is still 2013.

 

Definitely this is another Leica oversight. This feature is built into my Fujifilm X-E1 showing a green a line when level for either EVF or LCD.

I was just joking. Of course, it could have been done. Why such a basic oversight? Who knows why. The level assist on the RX-1 is fantastic.

Even putting the electronic level in an accessible spot, rather than buried 6 levels deep in the menus would be a start.

It's staggering that such a useful feature is so hidden. It should definitely be an option in LV. How easy that is to implement is up for debate. I won't lose sleep over its omission but would definitely like to see it in the next FW update. Does anyone know what delights Leica have up their sleeves? General bug fixes I guess

Lenses that need leveling are too wide for the built-in.
